From my Arch Linux home server I manage two of my subdomains, learnin and learninweb, which are part of the TLD homelinuxserver.org. These subdomains are offered for free by FreeDNS in a service which includes control over web redirections and dynamic DNS management.
Due to some limitations I will describe in the following paragraphs and to avoid the need to always type “https://” to get into my server, I set up a web redirect like so: learnin.

For this very website and my self-hosted email, I’m currently using a couple of ubuntu server VMs hosted in Oracle Cloud. I used to use GCP for small personal projects, but the always free tier that oracle offers is way better than the one from its competitors.
As far as I know It includes 1 TB of outbound traffic per month, free usage of two of the weakest configuration machines, and plenty of HDD storage.
